Post by: Mr Rizla on October 25, 2013, 01:14:59 AM
Lets see, M25 is 117 miles a round trip for the Ring of Red Ride

GSXR1000-K8 tank range currently 120miles dry, who else is feeling it a bit tight :D

Oops  :o , I'd be sweating a tad if we had to do two laps - theoretically I should be good for 230 mi to dry on 19l

Hmm - yes I did mention some bikes had better careful!   Memories of RO's Daytona nearly going dry on a trip oop north sprung to mind!  We actually had a pal with a small plane who used less fuel to fly down here than RO used to get up  there! :)
I think he can round a couple of times with his current bike though - me I'd need to refill about half way through the second circuit!  ;D

I think that simply riding from the start point services to the next services will achieve the objective if we have four rides, one from each service point.  As long as all the riders are on the motorway at 12:30, then we will have done our job.

Especially when they are filling 30 liters :) My wallet is groaning at the thought of that.
Graham, which services are you going to be at?

I think I'll fill mine nearer home so I don't have to join the queue.  :)
USRs with small tanks (oo-er missus) I suggest get to the services in plenty of time to fill up before the ravening hordes arrive.
Do you think they will make all the bikers take off their helmets?   ;D ;D

Going to play it by ear, and closer to the time , see where I am needed. With a tank this size, I can go anywhere. :)

Once you have joined with the ride in front simply go and get some petrol.
