Title: M25 roadworks at Jct 5-6 finished.. be aware new speed cameras
Post by: Mr Rizla on May 06, 2014, 01:25:00 PM
Hi All,
At the weekend while returning home I saw the new SPEC cameras in operation on the opposite lane just before Clacketts, these new cameras can easily be spotted, its like a shelf has been bolted onto the outside of the gantry about 3M up and has 2 long rectangular cameras mounted side by side, not that anyone speeds but always good to know where you may get people suddently hammering on the brakes without warning.
Recon the car i saw was doing about 80..

Should also be pointed out that the area is now subject to a variable speed limit. Ohh the joys of Motorway travel..... NOT!

And there is no hard shoulder so if your bike breaks down you have to hope you get spotted on the cameras and the lane you are in gets closed before someone hits you.
