Meet at the Old Control Tower café at Goodwood circuit PO18 0PH from 09:00 for a 10:00 departure.

Please see attached revised GPX and ITN files as follows:·

  •   (S1) - Goodwood to Garton's Coffee House, Midhurst, GU29 9NJ (38 miles)·
  •   (S1a) -  Goodwood to Garton's Coffee House, Midhurst, GU29 9NJ (Optional short route 20 miles)·
  •   (S2) - Midhurst to Billy's Café, Billingshurst, RH14 9AE (25 miles)·
  •   (S3) - Billy's to Goodwood (27 miles)·
  •    Entire Route (90 miles)

The route is very mixed but mostly off of main 'A' roads. Some parts are quite rural and some mud and gravel can be expected in a few places. However if the weather is against us too much we can modify this on the day to cut out the "interesting" sections to the West of South Harting using file S1a which makes it shorter and rather less rural

We have an optional coffee stop at 'Tea on the Green' at Rowlands Castle PO9 6BN if we opt to complete the whole route.

Expected return time at Goodwood of appx. 14:30

So far we have 8 confirmed and a further 7 interested.

It would be nice to see a few more associates and new faces as this is a good opportunity to meet and get to know people.

Looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday.  :D

Welcome Mark, it was good to see you albeit briefly at the weekend and admire your BMW! There's various events coming up over the next few months so I look forward to seeing you again.

Cheers Charles 06

Hello All

This is Mark Rowe USRCB

I have just spotted this on the forum and although i have attended a social run and last weekends Kempton to Reading bike run, i will introduce myself

I am still just about working as i own 3 companies but my boys are taking over slowly, so this gives me the time to come and enjoy riding with you all.

I have been riding since i was 8 years old, and have had so many bikes over the years, it would take too long to go through them

I currently ride a BMW S1000XR and my runabout is a Kawasaki ninga 650 which i may use on USR events as my BMW did not like the slow going on cycling events

I passed my IAM's advanced and advanced plus many years ago but have kept my skills up by observing for my local IAM's club, i was also chairman of the club until Dec17 when i decided to give someone else a go

I live on the south coast in a village called Titchfield.

I look forward to getting qualified as a fully fledged USR asap, so will see you at as many events as i can

Cheers
Mark

Hi All
Just I should probably introduce myself as I'm out tomorrow with everyone. I've been riding since i was 16 (37 now) although I had an 8 year gap in between where I bought a campervan for some reason and couldn't justify both that and the bike to the misses. Since having kids the camper wasn't big enough so sold that, bought a trailer and a bigger tent and then an old F650 to get back into biking. I did my BikeSafe course on that and then bought myself a Tiger 800XC and proceeded to do my RoSPA which I passed in September. A few weeks ago I was in Ireland doing my WEMT with WEMSI and decided I really wanted to give something back, local SAR in the area isn't massively active and I saw the USR and sent an email off straight away.

Anyway enough of me rambling. Hopefully see some of you tomorrow for the BHF ride.

Hi Bryan

Unfortunately after all that a work commitment has scuppered my chance to attend on Sunday.

I hope you have a good ride and look forward to meeting you soon.
