Welcome to the USR Forum / Re: Welcome to the USR Forum

Hi Tom

Welcome to the forum and to Unity Support Riders.  Someone more senior than I will be along shortly I am sure to talk you through the next steps of joining but it usually involves coming along to one of our events as an "associate" to get a feel for how we work and what we do. You'll be paired with an experienced USR on the day so that you can see how everything works.

They will also be assessing your riding and mindset and this feedback will go on to your rider record which goes towards you getting your own rider number in due course, although you will need to have attended several events and a training day (held in the spring) for this to be issued.

It is a requirement of joining that you hold an advanced riding qualification (usually IAM or RoSPA). Have you done any additional training since passing your test?

Hi, my name is Tom. I live in the Bexleyheath area. Recently bought a new bike BMW S1000R (excellent bike) and would like to ride it more often with other bikers. I am interested in joining USR. Whats the process??

Hi everyone,

firstly i would like to apologies, for not attending the last few events, however due to some issues i have  at home, and one work related (duty related), i will not be able to attend any events until after the 11th of August, however that is by and by, on the last training day, i was given a PPT,however due to the age of my phone (pre historic) ??? the button will not  work , so FYO Chris, if anyone  can use it let me know, it is pointless me having it, if it will not work with my phone, so someone  who can may well have it. So let me know.

My second point, is a USR ride out even (USR only) so  we all can meet up for a meal, a day out ect does that happen?

Other then that, i hope everyone stays safe, ride safe....and hope to  see you soon on the next ride out(well in a few weeks time)

Regards
USRBE   Jason crook

I need a new one,won against the council who admitted having a trench 5 inches deep due burst water mains and they  were told by the water board it was liable to flooding a month before road that they had been told about a month earlier was  a failing and could have put a sing saying road unfit for purpose but my phone took a beating. So while claim is going through, looking for a cheap one

pete , your provider can help you, meaning they can tell you  if you can go to Tesco to buy a  stand alone, or burner phone, andd/or they can replace it, however if you bought it outright, then the provider could  crack   a phone you can use your sim card in.
Other solution is you contact  your network provider and ask for there open mobile phones sale rep...as each shop/provider have them, but don't tell people

The Unity Team was initially helped by North London BikeSafe team and the rest from CO15, so we (the founders) were very proactive in promoting BikeSafe and almost all have been on one at one point or another. I've done one in Gloucestershire, and one in Dorset. The one in Gloucestershire was a very spirited ride in poor weather, but I came away with good feedback, mainly positive. The one in Dorset was done with colleagues after I had recovered from illness and was then led me on to doing IAM, RoSPA, and joining the BikeSafe team (in a non-riding role)

;D Well what can i say, i had a fantastic day doing it, and would say anyone who has not done a workshop or its been a while i recommend it to anyone,so yes now on to more  adventure ...basically bike needs a check up so off the road now till it's  done.

|So anyone here ever do one and when and how did you feel when you got the feed back, as i found the feed back great and did not take it in a negative way, we had one who did, but anywho.....be nice to have a chat about it
